How we work this out
What it does
Your Listening and Reading scores give your total, CEFR level and IELTS equivalent.
TOEIC Listening and Reading: two sections scored 5 to 495 in steps of 5, and a total of 10 to 990.
Method
- The total is the two section scores added, as ETS builds it.
- Each section's CEFR level is the highest level whose ETS minimum the score reaches. ETS sets minimums for each section, not for the total, so the overall level is the lower of the two.
- The IELTS equivalent is the band range IELTS gives for that CEFR level. ETS and IELTS publish no direct TOEIC to IELTS table, so the CEFR is the bridge.
