Rivermouth Bike Share

When Rivermouth launched its bike-share scheme in 2019, the council placed 40 docking stations in the city centre. Riders could keep a bike for 30 minutes free of charge, after which they paid £1 for every extra 15 minutes. At first the scheme was used mainly by commuters. However, a survey in 2021 found that weekend leisure trips had overtaken weekday journeys, and the council responded by opening 12 new stations along the river path. Electric bikes were added in 2023, although the council has not said whether their free period will be the same.

Statement: Fewer weekday journeys were made in 2021 than in 2019. TRUE, FALSE or NOT GIVEN?
